EasyFast™ Pig/Suidae detection & quantification kit

Principle

The Progenus Easyfast™ Pig/Suidae detection & quantification kit is designed to specifically detect DNA from Pig and other Suidae species and is provided in an easy-to-use master-mix format. The kit also allows a relative quantification of the pig DNA amount by quantifying the percentage of pig with respect to the total vertebrate DNA in the sample. The vertebrate probe also serves as an internal control (IPC), indeed the vertebrate PCR should always give a positive result provided the sample contains meat.

Kit Components

- Green Tube = MIX: contains the primers and probes for the detection of pig, vertebrate, and the reagents for real-time PCR
- Blue Tube = EPC (External Positive Control): contains synthetic DNA which is recognized by the pig and vertebrate probes
