The LM5000 is a manual lamination system used to assemble lateral flow test strips in R&D and production environments. Precut membrane, conjugate pad, absorbent pads and plastic backing are brought together with precision overlap to create a laminated master test strip card.
The LM5000 (clamshell laminator) is a manual device used to assemble lateral flow test strips. Precut membrane, conjugate pad, absorbent pads and plastic backing are brought together with precision overlap to create a laminated master test strip card.
The clamshell module uses vacuum to hold each component in place. The operator positions the plastic backing with the adhesive exposed on the top section. Absorbent pads, conjugate and membrane are all placed into the bottom custom designed nest. Closing the module aligns the backing with other components and laminates the card.
Multiple nests can be purchased to accommodate different test designs. Nests are easily interchangeable.
