Principle
PCA (Plate Count Agar) The nutrient substances provided by peptone, growth factors contained n yeast extract and the use of glucose as an energy source promote the growth of most aerobic bacteria.
Theoretical Composition
Enzymatic casein digest | 5 g |
Yeast extract | 2.5 g |
Glucose anhydrous | 1 g |
Agar | 12 g |
Distilled water | 1,000 ml |
Final pH at 25 ⁰C = 7.0 ± 0.2 |
